Christy is a technology associate and special education teacher at a local elementary school. She previously co-founded a law firm that helps small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs with their legal needs. 

Christy is currently the Mayor of Huntersville. She was elected in 2023 and is serving her first term. She previously served in the North Carolina General Assembly from 2019 to 2020.
