Jackson Martin is from Lattimore, North Carolina. He has a bachelor's degree in education from North Carolina State University. He lives with his wife, Mary Beth, and their daughter, Charlotte, in a 120-year-old Victorian home that was owned by Jackson's grandfather. He also has two donkeys and a goat on their farm.

Jackson is a woodworker who runs a small woodworking shop in Lattimore. He has built custom cornhole boards and designed and crafted Coinhole, a tabletop game he invented in 2008.
