Frederick Becker is from Union County, New Jersey. He has a bachelor's degree in engineering from Cornell University. He has lived in Mineral Springs since 1988.

Rick is a municipal finance officer. He works for the Town of Mineral Springs, where he serves in a part-time role managing the town's financial operations. He previously worked as a mathematics teacher at the Pingry School in Elizabeth, New Jersey, from 1976 to 1981. After that, he was a real estate rental property manager in Plainfield, New Jersey, from 1981 to 1985. He then worked as a remodeling contractor and woodworker in Plainfield and Mineral Springs from 1985 to 2012.
