Morrisville Councilman Satish Garimella seeks 3rd term

Satish Garimella is from Mumbai, India. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in computer science. He lives in the Breckenridge Subdivision in Morrisville, North Carolina.

Satish is a senior manager and technical architect at a large pharmaceutical company.

Plans to explore workforce housing best practices in transit development near McCrimmon Parkway.

Plans to work with the NC Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) to advocate for transit and rapid bus transportation.

- The mayor leads the executive branch of local government, presiding over city council meetings, making sure city departments run smoothly, and providing services to citizens. 
- The mayor attends and runs City Council meetings, serving as an important leader for how local laws get set. These laws affect local services, such as Police, City Planning, Parks & Recreation, and Transportation.
