- Town commissioners serve as the legislative body for the town government. 
- Town commissioners have the authority to decide the services offered to the town, pass the budget, decide the property tax, acquire property, and enter into agreements with other governments.

Robert is currently a Wagram Town Commissioner. He previously served as mayor of Wagram in 2023 and has been on the board of commissioners since 2000. He lost his reelection bid for mayor in 2023 but was elected to finish out the term for the commissioner seat he vacated.
