Deborah is from Queens. She holds a bachelor's degree from City University of New York, Queens College, and a master's of business administration degree from Fordham University Graduate School of Business. She is Jewish. 

Deborah has experience working as a deputy director of general services for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development, serving as director of printing services for New York City Department of General Services, and as a manager of a self-owned printing business. 

Deborah Glick currently serves as a member of the New York State Assembly in District 66. She was elected in 1991 and is serving her 16th term. 

As a state assembly member, wrote to the Chief Judge and Chief Administrative Judge urging the New York State Courts to slow down eviction case processing.

As a state assembly member, co-sponsored the Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA), which protects gender identity and expression under New York State human rights and hate crimes laws.

As a state assembly member, sponsored the Reproductive Health Act, which allows abortions up to 24 weeks and mandates care for nonviable pregnancies.
