Miles Sasser grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. He has an bachelor's degree in business management and a master's degree in geology from Texas A&M University. He also has a law degree from the University of Virginia.

Supports strengthening ties with employers and the business community to improve access to quality jobs for students in both vocational and academic programs, and aligning curriculum and training programs with the needs of downstream education partners and employers.
