Julia Schmoker is from Dallas, Texas. She attended Richardson High School. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Southern Methodist University, a graduate artist diploma from McGill University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Minnesota. She lives with her husband, Anthony, and their son, Sawyer, in Princeton.

Julia is a design consultant and client advisor. She previously worked as a public affairs specialist in the U.S. Army. She also taught choir at Bowman Middle School, voice at Wilson Middle School in Plano, and voice at the University of Minnesota. She is also an international opera singer.

Julia is currently a member of the Princeton ISD School Board. She was elected in 2022 and is serving her first term.
