Kathy Tran - Ballotpedia

Kathy Tran is from Vietnam. She has a bachelor's degree in history from Duke University and a master's degree in social work from the University of Michigan. She lives with her husband, Matthew Louis Reisman, and their four children in Springfield, Virginia. She attends Temple B'nai Shalom.

Kathy is a policy advisor at the U.S. Department of Labor, where she has worked for 12 years. She previously served as a Presidential Management Fellow and as the policy and advocacy assistant director for skills and workforce development at the National Immigration Forum.

Kathy is currently a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 18. She assumed office in 2024 and is currently serving her first term. Kathy previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2018 to 2021, representing District 42.
