It was a busy and exciting day in Louisville, KY, as International President John Costa, International Executive Vice President Yvette Trujillo, and International Vice President Natalie Cruz joined Local 1447 President/Business Agent Lillian Brents, Financial Secretary Freda Withers, and Vice President Matt Staser to visit with our members on the job and meet with a group of prominent politicians to talk about the issues impacting our members and our Union ahead of a Stewards Training for our Locals in the region this weekend.

District 2 candidate Lillian Brents also earned Better Schools Kentucky's endorsement. Brents is the former president of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1447 representing TARC drivers, and Shepard pointed to her experience leading negotiations between JCPS and TARC during the district's busing crisis.
