William previously hosted the Hegemonicon podcast for Convergence Magazine and co-founded the Sunrise Movement, where he directed its political program during the 2018 midterm elections and later served as director of strategic partnerships. He also co-founded and served as development director of the Fossil Fuel Divestment Student Network.
