Matt is from Lincoln, Nebraska. He attended Grand Island Senior High, John Brown University, and the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership. He has a bachelor’s degree in middle school mathematics and science from John Brown University and a master’s degree in nonprofit management and leadership from the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership. He lives with his wife, Kristin, and their four children in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Matt is the executive director of the Lincoln chapter of Campus Life. He has held this position since 2011, leading the organization’s work with local teens and schools. He also founded and operates a small business, Nonprofit Shared Services, which provides support services to mission-driven organizations.
