Brandon Hunnicutt is from Giltner, Nebraska. He attended Northwestern College, Grace University, and Central Community College and earned his bachelor's degree in agri-business from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He lives with his wife, Lisa, and their seven children and attends Stockham Community Church.

Brandon currently works as a member of the U.S. Department of Agriculture advisory council, the chairman of the Nebraska Corn Board, the owner of Hunnicutt Farms, and the chief executive officer at Veridian Dynamics LLC. He previously worked as a board member at the National Corn Growers Association and the Nebraska Corn Growers Association, and as a team lead at the U.S. Grains Council.

Brandon's campaign for the Giltner Public School Board is his first campaign for public office.
