Oscar Romero Jr. is from Mission, Texas. He previously worked as a digital equity research associate at The New School from 2017 to 2018 and as an external impact evaluator at The Artists Forum from 2017 to 2018. He also founded his first business at age 18, doing web development to support his family. Oscar has also worked in higher education in the US, Mexico, and Argentina, promoting critical thinking and anti-colonialism. 

Oscar is the Chief Information Officer for New York City, a position he has held since 2018. Oscar is currently the Chief Information Officer of the NYC Civic Engagement Commission. He is running for New York's 13th Congressional District.
