Tom currently runs a Medicare insurance practice in Gaston County. He previously served as executive director of the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Gaston and Lincoln Counties, worked at The Massey Company in Mount Holly, and taught in Gaston County schools.


Tom is currently a member of the Gaston County Board of Commissioners. He was first elected in 1998 and is currently serving his seventh term.
