Brent Holbrooks wanted to discuss in depth our police officers’ salaries. We have a good police force, and we want to keep our police officers. In this day and time, it’s very hard to find police officers. Brent Holbrooks has come up with a pay scale of different options. The board had spreadsheets of different options. This board wants the salaries to be a little higher than anyone in the county, so hopefully, we can keep full police staff and keep our citizens protected. Brent Holbrooks made a motion to accept the Sub-optimal Salary scale along with paid holidays. This will be effective immediately with a new hire, and effective April 1 for all current employees. All were in favor. Motion carried.
