Kathy Meyer is a graduate of Eastern Wayne High School. She holds a bachelor's degree in youth ministry from Eastern University and an master's degree in old testament from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She is the mother of three children. Kathy serves as president of the Spring Creek Elementary PTA and president of the Spring Creek Youth Association.

Kathy has worked as a curriculum writer for the Docent Content Group. She has also served as adjunct faculty at Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary, teaching courses in the old testament, youth ministry, and Christian education. Previously, she was the director of Christian education and creative arts at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.

Kathy previously ran for Wayne County Public Schools, At-large in 2024 but did not win.

A graduate of Eastern Wayne High School (Class of 1995), Kathy Meyer Larson is a lifelong product of Wayne County Public Schools. She holds a B.A. in Youth Ministry from Eastern University (Templeton Honors College) and an M.A. in Old Testament from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She is the mother of three children currently enrolled in WCPS schools, including the Wayne School of Engineering and Spring Creek Middle School. Larson is deeply involved in local youth organizations, serving as President of the Spring Creek Elementary PTA and President of the Spring Creek Youth Association.

Larson’s professional experience combines education, curriculum development, and nonprofit leadership. Since 2011, she has worked as a curriculum writer for the Docent Content Group, authoring Bible study materials for large churches and assisting pastors with book projects. Since 2010, she has served as adjunct faculty at Charlotte Christian College and Theological Seminary, teaching courses in the Old Testament, Youth Ministry, and Christian Education. Previously, she spent nearly 20 years (1999–2018) as the Director of Christian Education and Creative Arts at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Charlotte.
