Toby Andrea Hedgepeth was born and raised in Guildford County. She has graduate degrees from Villanova University and the Chicago Theological Seminary. She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ. She lives with her husband and two sons in Whitsett. 

Toby's campaign for county commissioner is her first run for public office. 

Toby currently works as a divisional human resources director at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
