Charles Jordan is from Currituck County, North Carolina. He has a degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

Charles is retired. He previously worked as an auditor for Bendix Corporation in Teterboro, NJ, and for the Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia. He then spent 26 years with the City of Philadelphia, first as an accountant in the Finance Department, then as fiscal director and later as the administrator of the city-owned Philadelphia Nursing Home. After leaving city government, he worked in the private sector as a nursing home administrator and as a regional administrator overseeing six nursing homes. Upon retiring in 1997, he owned and operated the charter bus company C & R Tours, Inc., and managed his father's Jordan Bus Service, Inc., until selling the buses in 2005.
