Carl Yonge is originally from Fayetteville. He earned a master's degree in business administration from American InterContinental University. He serves as a volunteer firefighter with Tar Hell Fire and Rescue and White Oak Volunteer Fire Department. Carl lives with his wife, Crystal, in White Oak and has raised seven kids while attending the White Oak Family Worship Center.

Carl is the owner and chief executive officer of Forever Yonge Insurance and C&C Portable Buildings, as well as a managing agent for Lincoln Heritage Insurance Company. He previously worked as a truck foreman at Diamond Constructors, a supervisor at Hoke County Animal Shelter, a sheriff's deputy at Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, a deputy sheriff at Texas County Sheriff's Office, a police officer at Crocker Police Department, and an armed security guard at Homeland Security and Defense. He also served in the U.S. Army for six years as an automative logistical specialist.

Carl's campaign for Bladen County Sheriff is his first entry into politics.
