Wayne Henry Dover's campaign for Swain County Sheriff is his first entry into politics.

Wayne is the assistant chief of the Bryson City Police Department. He previously worked as a patrol officer and investigator for the Swain County Sheriff s Office and the Cherokee Indian Police Department. He also teaches basic law enforcement training classes at both Southwestern Community College and Haywood Community College.

Wayne previously served as an officer with the Swain County Sheriff's Office and the Cherokee Indian Police Department. He is currently the assistant chief of the Bryson City Police Department.
