Greg Stoker was born in Washington D.C. His parents soon returned to their Texas roots, and he was raised in South Austin. After multiple expulsions from a few schools in his teen years for being just a little too rebellious, Greg eventually graduated from Austin's Westlake High School.

After leaving active duty Greg attended Columbia University, where he studied Anthropology and International Relations. Since then, he has served as a political analyst and commentator, working both for news outlets and his own company. Greg currently hosts the popular podcast Colonial Outcasts.

Greg lives in Central Texas with his partner, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Maggie Freleng. When he has time outside of the campaign or his work in media, he tends his garden plot, travels, plays guitar, and follows the vibrant Central Texas music scene.
