Anthony "Tony" Box is originally from Chicago. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Morehouse College, a master’s degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, a law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law, and a Master of Laws in taxation from Washington University in St. Louis. Tony lives in Dallas with his wife, and they have three sons.

Tony currently works as a partner at Gray Reed. He previously worked as an assistant United States attorney, an assistant circuit attorney and chief investigator, a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a senior manager at Deloitte, an investigator with the Congressional Commission on Wartime Contracting in Iraq and Afghanistan, an attorney advisor with the Defense Health Agency, and an officer in the U.S. Army.

Tony's campaign for attorney general of Texas is his first run for public office.
