Chip Roy is originally from Bethesda, Maryland. He earned a bachelor’s degree in government from the University of Virginia and a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. Chip lives with his wife, Caroline, and their two children in Dripping Springs, Texas.

Chip is an attorney. He previously worked as a federal prosecutor in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as a city prosecutor in Plano and Sherman, and as the First Assistant Attorney General at the Texas Attorney General’s office.
