Doug Greco is originally from Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Brown University, a master's degree in public policy from Princeton University, and a master's degree in professional nonfiction writing from the University of Southern California. Doug lives in Austin, Texas.

Doug is the Director of Programs at Equality California. He previously spent 12 years as Executive Director and Lead Organizer at Central Texas Interfaith, served as Chief of Staff to State Representative Gina Hinojosa, and worked for five years as a high school teacher at Johnston High School.

Doug currently works as the principal for Ground Strategies. He previously worked as the executive director and lead organizer for the Industrial Areas Foundation in multiple Texas regions; the chief of staff for State Representative Gina Hinojosa in the Texas House of Representatives; the director of programs and program development for Equality California; and a secondary english and social studies teacher for Johnston High School in the Austin Independent School District.

Party Chair — Travis County Democratic Party

Opposes tax incentives for large oil and gas companies.

As a community organizer, worked with the Texas IAF to secure funding for job training and create a matching fund at the Texas Legislature.

- County party chairs appoint and oversee local election officials and workers, manage candidate filings and ballot placement for county offices, serve on the county election board, and help certify local election results.
