Evelyn Brooks is from Maryland. She earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Bowie State University. Evelyn lives with her husband, Brian, in Frisco.

Evelyn is an educator and youth development facilitator. She has worked as an elementary classroom teacher, substitute teacher, and homeschool educator. She also founded a Frisco homeschool program and a small private school. Most recently, she served as a facilitator for West Dallas Junior High School with Foundation for CHOICE in partnership with Toyota's Driving Possibilities.
