The data show that socialization is a huge part of a child's learning process, their intellectual development and overall well-being. These are the principles that should underpin the tough decisions we face this school year."

Jason was born and raised in Cobb County. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Katie, have three children. Their two oldest children attend Marietta City Schools.

Jason is Chief Financial Officer, a licensed mortgage originator and a certified financial planner.

Jason Waters is currently the Board of Education Member for Ward 2. He was first elected in 2013 and has served two terms. He is the school district's liaison for the Marietta Schools Foundation.

I'm thankful that the current mask mandate is limited to a short time period with an off-ramp as numbers decline. I do believe local real-time data should drive mask mandates."

As a board of education member, he voted to improve contract tracing efforts in the district, including a $30,000 contract for a COVID Lead and a $25,000 contract for an assistance.
