Patricia is originally from Philadelphia. She has a bachelor's degree in business from Hampton University and a master's degree in business from Georgia State University. She lives with her husband, Raymond. They have three children.

Patricia is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. She served for more than 20 years in Okinawa, Spain, Turkey, England, Louisiana, Virginia, and New Mexico.

Patricia Stephenson's campaign for county commission chair is her first entry into politics.
