He has a bachelor's degree in health services administration from Ohio University, a master's degree in healthcare management from Troy University, and a law degree from Cooney Law School. Christian is married to his wife, Keyonda. They have four children together.

Professional background

Christian is a lawyer and author. He has been working as a private practice attorney since 2020. He was previously chief of staff of Atlanta City Council District 5, City of Atlanta senior assistant solicitor, and Fulton County assistant district attorney.

Political background

Christian Wise Smith ran for Fulton County District attorney general in 2020 and attorney general in 2022, but did not win either race.

Legal Experience

Has a law degree from Cooney Law School.

Served as Fulton County assistant district attorney for a year and a half. Assistant district attorneys prosecute individuals accused of crimes on behalf of the district attorney.

Served as assistant solicitor for nearly five years with the City of Atlanta. As an assistant solicitor, prosecuted DUI (driving under the influence), housing code, and misdemeanor offenses, conducted research and criminal investigations, and served as the Zone 6 community prosecutor.

Plans to "stand with victims first" by providing empowerment and support services, using trauma-informed practices, being transparent with victims, focusing on protection, and employing "restorative justice."

Advocates for ending mass incarceration by decreasing incarceration rates. Proposes legalizing marijuana, working with at-risk youth, and ensuring that arrested individuals get "fair treatment in court."
