He earned an associate's degree in criminal justice from the Community College of the Air Force. He lives with his wife Traci in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

Professional background

Cris worked as a corrections officer with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections before retiring in January 2012. He also served in the U.S. Air Force from 1982-1990 and in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard from 2000-2016, where he retired as a senior non-commissioned officer.

Cris Dush currently serves as the State Senator for Pennsylvania's 25th Senate District where he chairs the Senate State Government Committee. He was first elected to state senate in 2020 and is serving his 1st term. Cris previously served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 6 years.
