Othman Ali Alaansi is a lifelong resident of Dearborn. He graduated from Fordson High School, earned an associate degree in computer science from Henry Ford College, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Michigan–Dearborn. He has been active in community service through local Islamic institutions, including the Islamic Center of Detroit, Masjid Al-Huda, and the American Moslem Society.
