Annalisa Bluhm is originally from Michigan. She earned bachelor’s degrees in communications and media studies and in international relations from Eastern Michigan University, followed by a master’s degree in communication studies from the same institution. She also studied Italian language and literature at Wayne State University. Annalisa lives in Troy with her husband and their three children.

Annalisa most recently worked at Northrop Grumman as vice president of corporate communications strategy and previously as vice president of CEO and leadership communications. She also held leadership roles at General Motors, including head of executive and strategic corporate communications, head of employee engagement, and head of global strategy and urban mobility. Earlier in her career, she worked at Dynamic Edge as director of communications and marketing, taught communications studies at Eastern Michigan University, and served as a legislative assistant in Senator Carl Levin’s Washington, D.C. office.
