She also held leadership roles at General Motors, including head of executive and strategic corporate communications, head of employee engagement, and head of global strategy and urban mobility. Earlier in her career, she worked at Dynamic Edge as director of communications and marketing, taught communications studies at Eastern Michigan University, and served as a legislative assistant in Senator Carl Levin’s Washington, D.C. office.
