Pierina Ana Sanchez - The New York City Council

Pierina was born and raised in the Bronx. She attended Bronx public schools and graduated from Harvard University. She has a master's degree in public affairs from Princeton University.

Pierina has worked at Agenda for Children Tomorrow advocating for early education, served in the Obama White House, and was an urban planner at the Regional Plan Association. She later served as a senior advisor in the New York City mayor’s office, focusing on housing and economic development policy, and as a Senior Fellow at the Pratt Center for Community Development.

Pierina Sanchez currently serves as the City Council Member for New York City’s 14th District. She was first elected in 2021 and is serving her first term.

Pierina Sanchez

Bryan is originally from the Bronx, New York. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, and management from New York University and a law degree from Pace Law School.

Fernando has a bachelor's degree in religion from Southern California College, a master's degree in counseling from Liberty University, and a Doctorate in Counseling from Argosy University. He is married to Elvia Cabrera. He has two children and six grandchildren.

From 2022 to 2023, Fernando worked as a senior advisor at the NYC Mayor's Office of Faith-Based and Community Partnerships. He is a licensed mental health counselor and a certified school counselor.
