Antwan was born and raised in Savannah. He was in the foster care system for four years before being adopted. He has a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and social sciences and a master's degree in public administration from Savannah State University. He is currently working on a master's degree in business administration from Mercer University and a doctor of chiropractic degree from LIFE University. He was on the Keep Savannah Beautiful advisory board and the Savannah Cultural Affairs Commission. He attends First African Baptist Church.

Antwan is a member of the Georgia National Guard. He is a licensed insurance broker and currently works as chief of staff to Georgia State Senator Lester Jackson III and as a legislative aide to the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus.

Antwan Lang is a member of the Chatham County Board of Elections. He is running as a Democrat.
