Ry Armstrong

Ry Armstrong graduated from Inglemoor High School. They then went on to earn their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Central Washington University, and later their Master of Arts degree in International Relations from American University. They were born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. If elected, Ry would be the first openly LGBTQIA+ candidate to represent this district and also the first genderqueer person on city council.

Ry Armstrong is currently a customer success partner with TheGuarantors, where they have been working since 2022. They are also an independent producer at both RYCO Theatricals (since 2013) and Indie Chameleon Inc. (since 2018). Ry was previously a remote business affairs associate with the Dramatists Guild of America from 2020 to 2021, and a product zone specialist at Apple from 2017 to 2019.

Shobhit is originally from India. He has lived in Seattle for 21 years. He has a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology and a master's degree in finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He lives with his husband.
